Medal standings of the 2026 Olympics after February 16: country positions

On Monday, February 16, six sets of medals were awarded at the 2026 Winter Olympic Games in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo. Ukrainian athletes competed in four events.

The tenth day of competition did not bring Ukraine any medals, but it recorded a historic result in alpine skiing and a quarterfinal berth in short track speed skating.
Alpine skiing. Slalom. Men
The gold medal went to Switzerland’s Loik Meyar with a time of 1:53.61. The silver went to Austria’s Fabio Gstrein, and the bronze went to Norway’s Henrik Kristoffersen.
Ukrainian Dmytro Shepyuk finished 32nd in the two downhills, 18.3 seconds behind the leader. This result was the best in the history of Ukraine in alpine skiing at the Winter Olympics.
Freestyle. Big Air. Women
The big air competition was won by Canadian Megan Oldham with a score of 180.75 points. The silver medal went to China’s Eileen Gu, and the bronze medal went to Italy’s Flora Tabanelli.
Ukrainian Kateryna Kotsar scored 156 points and took tenth place in the final among ten participants.
Ski Jumping. Super Team. Men
The Austrian team won gold, Poland won silver, and Norway won bronze. Due to difficult weather conditions in Predazzo, the organizers canceled the final round and determined the winners based on the results of the second round.
Ukrainians Yevhen Marusiak and Vitaliy Kalinichenko finished in 14th place among 17 teams and did not make it to the second round.
Short track
In the women’s 1000 meters, Xandra Felzebuer from the Netherlands won.
In the men’s 500-meter qualification, Ukrainian Oleg Gandey finished second in his heat after American Brandon Kim was disqualified and advanced to the quarterfinals. The decisive starts will take place on February 18.
Bobsleigh and figure skating
In the women’s monobob, the gold medal was won by American Elana Meyers Taylor, silver by Laura Nolte from Germany, and bronze by Kylie Humphries from the USA.
Japan won the pair figure skating event, with Georgia taking silver and Germany taking bronze.
Medal standings after February 16
After ten days of competition, 68 out of 116 medal sets have been awarded. Norway holds the lead with 12 gold medals.
Italy and the United States also make up the top three. The top ten includes the Netherlands, Austria, Sweden, Switzerland, Germany, France and Japan.
Ukraine remains without medals for now.
Finals February 17
Seven sets of medals will be awarded at the Olympics on Tuesday, February 17. Medals will be awarded in biathlon, snowboarding, biathlon relay, team pursuit in speed skating, freestyle and bobsleigh.
