“The metro has returned to normal operation on all three lines. Train traffic has been restored on the “red” line between the stations “Lisova” – Akademmistechko”, the interval is 6 minutes. The interval between trains on the “blue” line has also been restored according to the schedule – 6 minutes,” the message says.
It should be noted that on January 31, a system failure occurred in the Ukrainian power system, which left a significant part of Ukraine without electricity.
In particular, in Kyiv, train traffic and escalators were temporarily suspended due to a power outage in the metro .
In addition, all districts of Kyiv currently have no water supply due to a power system failure .
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal stated that on January 31, a technological disruption occurred between the power systems of Romania, Moldova, and Ukraine, with a simultaneous power outage. This caused a cascading power outage .
