NABU Director Semen Kryvonos said that the defendants in the Midas corruption case received money not only from the energy sector. He spoke at a meeting of the parliamentary committee on anti-corruption policy and explained that investigators already have the first links between transactions and telephone conversations.
This is reported by Censor.NET.
Kryvonos stressed that energy remained a key source of funds, as this sector currently has the most regulatory problems. He recalled the so-called “slagbaum” scheme and the lack of supervisory boards at Energoatom and many other energy companies, which creates conditions for corruption risks.
At the same time, Kryvonos clarified that the money came from other sectors as well. Detectives are analyzing the transaction dates and comparing them with the dates of the recorded conversations of the suspects.
As previously reported, NABU has stopped disclosing new information in the case of corruption in the energy sector due to restrictions due to martial law.
