MiG-29 and launcher destroyed: GUR attacked Russian Belbek airfield in Crimea

The Main Intelligence Directorate reported the destruction of a Russian MiG-29 fighter jet during an attack on the Belbek airfield in temporarily occupied Crimea. According to intelligence, an airfield launcher serving the occupiers’ combat aircraft was also destroyed.

According to preliminary information, on the night of June 25-26, 2026, units of the Department of Unmanned Systems of the Military District of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine attacked the Belbek military airfield in temporarily occupied Crimea.
As a result of the operation, according to intelligence, a Russian MiG-29 fighter jet was destroyed.
In addition, Ukrainian special forces destroyed an airfield launcher with a single strike. According to the GUR, at the time of the destruction, it was servicing a combat aircraft of the Russian occupation forces.
The Main Intelligence Directorate noted that the estimated damage caused to the Russian side could amount to tens of millions of dollars. The press service also released a video of the targets being hit.
By the way, on the night of July 4, Russia announced a large-scale drone attack . The port of Vysotsk in the Leningrad region was hit, and OSINT analysts also reported the destruction of an oil terminal in St. Petersburg.
Earlier, the Security Service of Ukraine reported the successful destruction of the Russian military airfields “Saki” and “Gvardiyske” in temporarily occupied Crimea. According to preliminary data, at least seven combat aircraft were destroyed or damaged.
As a reminder, on the night of June 26, drones attacked several facilities in Russia and the temporarily occupied Crimea . The Azot chemical plant in Novomoskovsk, Tula region, was hit, as well as the Kerch district, where local residents reported a series of explosions and the work of air defense.
