According to preliminary data, the incident occurred three days ago. A boat carrying migrants sank at sea, killing one woman. Ten people were rescued and taken to a safe area.

Kedah state police chief Adzli Abu Shah said two other boats, each with about the same number of passengers, were missing. According to state maritime director Romli Mustafa, “so far 11 people have been found, including one deceased,” but more victims could be at sea.

The incident occurred near Tarutao Island, north of the resort of Langkawi. According to media reports, about 300 migrants set sail from the port of Buthidaung in Myanmar on a large vessel, but were forced to transfer to three smaller boats near the Malaysian coast to avoid detection by law enforcement.

The search and rescue operation is ongoing. Rescuers are combing the water area, trying to find survivors and determine the whereabouts of the missing boats.

Recall that a large-scale fire broke out in the Pacific Ocean on the Morning Midas ship , which was transporting about three thousand cars, including 800 electric cars and 2,200 traditional cars on a palm tree.

By the way, an accident occurred on the Russian reefer ship Crystal Asia in South Korean waters – an explosion and fire injured several crew members. The incident occurred on March 26 near the port of Kamcheon in the city of Busan.
