The CPD noted that in kindergartens across Russia, students were dressed in military gear, including berets, bulletproof vests, and berets. Children were also forced to march with toy weapons.

The report also states that participants in the war against Ukraine were massively invited to children’s events. During such events, children collected “parcels for the front” to the songs of Russian propaganda performers.

The CPD emphasized that this is an attempt to legitimize the war against Ukraine through the memory of World War II.

“Russia seeks to form a generation loyal to war, which from an early age perceives attacks on other states as the norm,” the Center for Countering Disinformation said.

The Center also added that the Russian authorities are using children as “living scenery” to support the cult of “victory.”
