Military personnel are planning to increase their payments and introduce new bonuses: details
Ukraine is preparing a reform of the financial support of military personnel. In particular, they plan to increase the minimum level of payments for military personnel.
This was stated by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrsky, in an interview with Militaryi.
According to him, the minimum financial support for the military should be 30 thousand hryvnias.
The reform will also provide for additional payments for certain categories of military personnel, primarily for those participating in active combat operations.
Syrsky clarified that this primarily concerns military mechanized, motorized infantry, airborne assault brigades, and marines.
The Commander-in-Chief added that the level of salaries and allowances will be determined by the General Staff.
According to Syrsky, the reform is planned to be agreed upon by the end of May.
As previously reported, the Verkhovna Rada registered draft law No. 15245 “On the guaranteed basic level of financial support for military personnel” , which provides for the consolidation of state regulation of financial, material and other types of support for military personnel.
We also recall that the relevant committee of the Verkhovna Rada supported the amendments to the Budget Code regarding the military levy and recommended that the parliament adopt the draft law as a whole.
