Military personnel in Chernivtsi banned from receiving equipment from Poroshenko
The fifth president and current People’s Deputy Petro Poroshenko, despite the massive nighttime missile and drone attack on Kyiv, arrived in Chernivtsi today, where he planned to transfer a batch of equipment for one of the military units stationed in the regional center.
However, according to him, military counterintelligence forbade accepting help from him. At the same time, the meeting with the military was canceled, and they themselves were urgently sent to the East.
“This is the main purpose of my arrival today – I was supposed to hand over 4 washing and shower complexes and a car repair shop to a military unit stationed in Chernivtsi. Our military called and said: ‘Petro Oleksiyovych, unfortunately, we won’t be able to, because we have to leave before your arrival urgently, but we will meet you in the East.’ I say that there are no questions, we will do it,” Poroshenko notes.
He once again emphasized that now the country has to direct all resources to one goal – to provide for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. “If we want peace, we must be strong. For this, we need to provide for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Those who are in the rear should transfer the economy to military rails and not spend money on anything else. Not on paving stones, not on “grand theft”, not on “thousandths”, not on cashbacks, or on other corrupt things, but on one thing – until we win the war, every penny goes to the Armed Forces,” Poroshenko emphasized.
He noted that corruption leaves Ukrainian soldiers without ammunition, without mines, and without electronic warfare systems.
“The price of corruption during war is unacceptable and too expensive,” the opposition leader is convinced.
