Military personnel of the CCC will be tried in Kyiv over the death of a mobilized person

Employees of the State Bureau of Investigation have completed the investigation into a CCC official and a military serviceman involved in the death of a man during the transportation of mobilized personnel.

Investigators have sent an indictment to the court. The charges relate to the deputy chief of the Podilskyi district CCC and SP and a soldier of the Shevchenkivskyi district CCC and SP of Kyiv.

The investigation established that in May 2025, the military transported mobilized people from training centers in the western regions to the capital. Among them was a Kyiv resident with health problems.

During the trip, a conflict arose between him and the military. The soldier used force and a taser, resulting in bodily injuries to the man. The officer in charge of the transportation did not stop his subordinate’s actions.

Upon arrival in Kyiv, the man was taken off the bus to the parade ground. Doctors pronounced him dead.

The soldier is accused of exceeding his official authority, which caused serious consequences, under martial law. The deputy chief is accused of intentionally failing to stop a subordinate’s offense.

The procedural management of the case was carried out by the specialized defense prosecutor’s office of the Central Region.
