Military personnel released from captivity will receive monthly payments.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a law providing for monthly payments of 50,000 hryvnias for military personnel released from Russian captivity and undergoing rehabilitation.
This is stated in the document card on the parliament’s website.
In law,

military personnel who, after being released from captivity, require inpatient treatment for more than 30 days will receive 50,000 UAH monthly;

payments will be made during the first three months of treatment;

The procedure for issuing certificates of injuries or illnesses received during captivity has also been regulated in order to avoid bureaucratic obstacles.
Before the law was passed, such payments were provided only to those who suffered wounds, concussions, or mutilations while in captivity. Now, support has been expanded to include those who aggravated illnesses or developed serious illnesses during captivity.
The Verkhovna Rada adopted the document on October 9, and it was supported by 244 people’s deputies.
