Soldiers from the 425th Separate Assault Regiment “Skala” have restored a powerful symbol of Ukrainian sovereignty by raising the national flag over the Pokrovsk City Council building, reaffirming control and resilience in the city.
The regiment’s press service reported this and released a video in which soldiers describe a combat operation to clear the Pokrovsk city council of Russians.
“Stormtroopers from the Skala Regiment returned the Ukrainian flag to the city council building in Pokrovsk,” the statement reads.
As a reminder, Ukrainian defenders continue to hold the line within the Pokrovsk-Myrnohrad agglomeration. Defense Force units are not encircled, and efforts to block Russian assault groups attempting to gain a foothold in Pokrovsk are ongoing.
Furthermore, Russian troops are actively strengthening their positions in Pokrovsk and amassing resources capable of monitoring and striking the entire town. Control over key approaches to the town has not yet been achieved, posing a serious threat to Ukrainian defenders.
As previously reported, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces stated that there is no cordon or blockade of Ukrainian troops in the Pokrovsk-Myrnohrad agglomeration. The situation in the area remains complex, but under control.
