The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has adopted a law that strengthens the right to education for young people who have joined the ranks of the Defense Forces.

This was announced by Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal.

The law expands the rights of citizens aged 18-24 who joined the army under a contract or by conscription during mobilization. Law No. 13235 was supported by 292 votes of deputies

The law provides that military personnel are granted the right to study at higher education institutions without interruption from their service. The initiative guarantees the retention of their place of study and scholarships for the period of military service.

The law also regulates the right of military personnel to leave in connection with studies at a higher education institution.

It is noted that the new law allows citizens aged 18-24 not only to join the defense of Ukraine, but also to acquire professions and skills for further implementation in the future.

Earlier it became known that Zelenskyy signed a law that not only guarantees funding for the Defense Forces and payments to the military, but also introduces an additional 15 days of vacation for defenders .

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a new law that provides military personnel with the right to monetary compensation for unused vacation days upon dismissal from service.

We remind you that Ukrainian servicemen who defend or have defended the state have the legal right to significant benefits when paying for housing and communal services . This is an important step by the state in supporting its Defenders and their family members in a difficult time for the country.
