Military personnel who voluntarily left the army can return under a simplified system: the Ministry of Defense reminded of the algorithm

Servicemen who voluntarily left the unit before May 10, 2025, can return to the army under a simplified system through the “Army+” application.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense.

The department noted that in order to take advantage of the opportunity, it is necessary to submit an appropriate report, upon receipt of which the Main Directorate of the Military Law Enforcement Service (VSP) will contact the person by phone to confirm the data.

From the moment the report is approved, the conscript will have 24 hours to arrive at the selected department of the VSP.

“The contact information for the selected VSP branch can be found in the report if you click “View details” before signing. They will issue documents there, make a prescription, or help you safely get to one of the reserve military units. The commander of such a reserve battalion has 72 hours to restore the military’s cash payments and social guarantees,” the Ministry of Defense explained.

Later, after renewal, it will be possible to change the place of service. To do this, you must select the item “Returning to service after SZCH” when the question “Why do you want to change the unit” appears on the screen.

As the press service of the Ministry of Defense assured, a letter of recommendation from the unit in which the person wants to serve will be attached to the report. It must indicate the current position in the reserve battalion.

“And on the “Additional documents” screen, add a certificate stating that the SZCH was carried out for the first time. It can be obtained from a representative of the VSP, who is in the reserve battalion. This way, the Personnel Center of the Armed Forces of the Ukraine, which considers reports on changing the place of service, will have every reason to initiate the transfer process,” the ministry added.

However, the defense ministry emphasized that servicemen who voluntarily left the unit after May 10 will not be able to change their place of service, and reassignment will take months.

As a reminder, the State Bureau of Investigation called on servicemen who voluntarily left their unit to take advantage of the simplified mechanism for returning to service , as this initiative expires on August 30, 2025.
