Military talks inspire “cautious optimism”: media report progress on ceasefire issues

It is noted that the military talks have instilled “cautious optimism” in officials. In particular, the parties have made significant progress in agreeing on practical terms for a ceasefire and identifying ceasefire violations.

Approval from political officials is now awaited, as the agreements reached by the military will be used for political negotiations, which remain “tense.”

Earlier, Zelensky reported on progress in the military direction during trilateral talks in the Ukraine-US-Russia format on ending the war.
