Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko has not signed the documents for the extradition of Timur Mindich from Israel for two weeks.
This is reported by NABU detective Oleksandr Abakumov.
This is about a person involved in the “Midas” case, whom investigators consider important for the investigation. The NABU says: they have already done their part of the work – they prepared all the documents and transferred them to the Prosecutor General’s Office. Then the process stopped.
“We have sent the documents for extradition. As far as I know, they have not been signed yet,” Abakumov explained.
In fact, everything now hinges on one signature. Without it, the procedure for Mindich’s return to Ukraine will not move forward.
The NABU emphasizes that the delay could affect the entire case. Investigators cannot conduct the necessary interrogations and other actions, and Mindich himself, according to them, could be a key witness.
“It would be right for this decision to be made as soon as possible,” the detective added.
Law enforcement officials also note that time is of the essence in such cases. The longer the pause, the more difficult it is to move forward with the investigation.
As previously reported, NABU and SAPO sent documents for Interpol to put businessmen Timur Mindich and Oleksandr Zukerman, defendants in the “Midas” case regarding corruption in the energy sector, on the wanted list .
We will remind you that only 19% of Ukrainians surveyed believe that President Volodymyr Zelensky was unaware of corruption in his environment and was not involved in the “Mindich scheme.”
