Mindich in the top of Google trends: who Ukrainians searched for in 2025

Google has published an annual ranking of search queries that showed the most dynamic growth among Ukrainian users in 2025. One of the main discoveries of the list was a rapid jump in interest in the scandalous businessman and media producer Timur Mindich, who was among the leaders in the Person category.

According to Google, Mindich was among the top ten people whose searches grew the fastest — alongside figures such as boxer Oleksandr Usyk, actor and new “Bachelor” Taras Tsymbalyuk, Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, Lesya Nikityuk, US First Lady Melania Trump, and other public figures who were in the spotlight throughout the year.

As for general trends, for the second year in a row, the most popular query remains “Lights outage schedule.” In second place is the reality show “The Bachelor 2025,” and in third place is the series “The Squid Game 2.” Also in the top 10 were “labubu,” “Usyk Dubois,” “Eurovision 2025,” and “NABU.”

Google’s search ranking reflects which topics and personalities had the strongest impact on the interest of Ukrainians in 2025 — from energy challenges to politics, show business, and people who unexpectedly found themselves at the center of public discussion, including Timur Mindich.
