The investigators of the so-called “Minditchgate” case systematically collected data on NABU detectives, politicians, government officials, and journalists, creating over fifty detailed “profiles.”

The head of the NABU detective unit, Oleksandr Abakumov, reported on the scale of illegal monitoring during a meeting of the parliamentary committee, Censor.NET reports.

According to Abakumov, the investigation established that the participants in Mindichgate tracked the movements of detectives in Kyiv using the Safe City system, and also collected personal data — residential addresses, information about family members, telephone numbers, and other information that could be used for pressure.

“Today, we see 527 collected reports on officials of various levels. This is a systemic activity, not an episode,” he noted.

The data set found during the searches includes:

15 NABU detectives who worked on cases in the energy and law enforcement sectors;

16 people’s deputies, including the head of the Verkhovna Rada’s Anti-Corruption Committee, Anastasia Radina, and the head of the TSC, Yaroslav Zheleznyak;

18 ministers and deputies related to the energy sector or justice;

9 SBU employees;

10 investigative journalists, including Yuriy Nikolov and the late Serhiy Shalaisky;

former head of Ukrenergo;

employees of the State Enforcement Service and forensic experts.

Some of the “references” were formed on July 17, 2025, just before large-scale searches at NABU. Among those mentioned in these documents are detectives who later themselves received suspicions.

Abakumov emphasized that the source of access to closed databases — passport data, TIN, addresses of relatives — could not have been accidental:

“We are forced to ask the question: who exactly from the law enforcement agencies provided this information?”

The collected materials indicate the possible activities of an organized group that had access to state registers and was engaged in the systematic collection of compromising material and informational influence on those investigating corruption in the energy sector.

The investigation is ongoing.

As a reminder, NABU is planning a series of large-scale inspections at the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine due to suspicions of systematic price overpricing during the procurement of products, uniforms, and fuel for the Armed Forces. Investigators intend to cover procurement departments, financial units, and supplier companies that worked with the army.

As reported, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office have gotten close to the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky – this is stated in the article “A Friend of Kolomoisky and Zelensky: Who is Timur Mindich?”, published on the Deutsche Welle website.

By the way, many anonymous Telegram channels, which have about a million subscribers, are ignoring the NABU and SAPO investigations into corruption in the energy sector.
