The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has codified and approved for use in the Armed Forces of Ukraine a new reconnaissance and strike ground robotic complex (NRC) “Zmiy mini-shock”.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense.
The department noted that the complex was developed by a Ukrainian manufacturer that has been creating ground robotic systems for the Defense Forces for several years. Some of its previous models have already been successfully used by the Ukrainian military.
The “Mini Strike Snake” was created jointly with engineers from one of the most effective combat brigades of the Defense Forces. During development, the experience of more than four years of full-scale war and the results of combat use of ground robotic complexes were taken into account.
During testing and combat use, the complex confirmed the declared tactical and technical characteristics and the effectiveness of performing combat missions.
Among the main advantages of the platform:
-
- high-speed wheeled chassis with high cross-country ability;
-
- silent electric motor;
-
- rapid deployment and collapse of the complex;
-
- long battery life;
-
- significant power reserve;
-
- day and thermal imaging cameras;
-
- compact dimensions and light weight.
The Ministry of Defense also emphasized that the complex is universal in use. It is easily transported in the trunk of a minibus, the body of a pickup truck, or a car trailer and does not require special equipment for transportation.
The basic configuration is equipped with a combat module with an MK19 automatic grenade launcher, which provides accurate fire, including from closed positions. At the same time, other combat modules with infantry weapons can be installed on the platform.
It was previously reported thatsince the beginning of 2026, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has codified and approved for operation in the Defense Forces 413 unmanned aircraft systems , the vast majority of which are Ukrainian-made.
Ukrainian marines also conducted a combat operation for the first time using FPV drones launched from naval unmanned boats , striking Russian positions in the area of the temporarily occupied Zalizny Port in the Kherson region.
