Minus 5 tanks and 485 drones: General Staff updated data on Russian losses

Russia continues to suffer massive losses in the war against Ukraine. In the last 24 hours alone, the Armed Forces have eliminated over a thousand Russian occupiers and destroyed hundreds of pieces of equipment, including combat drones, artillery, and aircraft.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in a summary as of the morning of September 23, 2025.

In total, since the start of the full-scale invasion, the enemy has lost:

• personnel – about 1,103,580 people (+1,010 per day);
• tanks – 11,199 (+5);
• artillery systems – 33,052 (+53);
• Operational-tactical level UAVs – 62,486 (+485);
• airplanes – 424 (+2), helicopters – 345 (+1);
• automotive equipment – 62,486 (+123);
• and other types of weapons and equipment.

Earlier, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrsky, reported that since the beginning of 2025, the Defense Forces of Ukraine have destroyed more than 267 thousand Russian occupiers .

We also wrote that Russia is forced to use outdated T-62 tanks in the war against Ukraine due to a lack of modern equipment.

Recall, Donald Trump’s special representative, General Keith Kellogg, stated that the losses of both sides in the Russian-Ukrainian war exceeded one million people , in particular, they reached approximately 1.2 million.
