Minus propagandist: Ivan Zuyev was eliminated in Zaporizhia region

In the temporarily occupied part of Zaporizhia region, one of the well-known Russian propagandists – the so-called “military leader” Ivan Zuev – was killed by a precise strike from a Ukrainian drone, and his “colleague” Yuriy Voytkevych was seriously injured.

Russian media reported Zuev’s death, noting that it happened “while carrying out an editorial assignment.” This is what the Russian Federation calls the work of propagandists in occupied territories.

Zuev worked for several years at the pro-Kremlin news agency RIA Novosti, spreading narratives favorable to Moscow about the war in Ukraine. In March 2025, he even received a “thank you” from Russian dictator Vladimir Putin for his work.

His injured colleague Yuriy Voytkevych also worked for the same agency for a long time and was awarded the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, 2nd degree. He is currently in hospital, his condition is assessed as serious.
