Missiles and drones simultaneously hit Kyiv: one dead and many injured

On the night of November 25, Kyiv came under another round of shelling by the aggressor country. Russian troops used several types of weapons simultaneously, combining strikes with missiles of various ranges and kamikaze drones. The city came under heavy fire, and the air defense system worked almost continuously.

This was reported by the press service of the State Emergency Service.

The attack began with cruise missile launches from the Novorossiysk region. Then high-speed targets appeared in the air, moving through the Chernihiv region towards the capital. They were followed by a new wave of ballistic missiles, launched, according to preliminary estimates, from the Bryansk direction. In addition, the Russians raised MiG-31Ks into the air, which struck with “Daggers”.

After the missile launches, the city was attacked by strike drones. Some of the drones approached Kyiv from different directions. All components of the strike were used almost simultaneously, which was confirmed by the capital’s authorities.

The consequences of the attack affected various parts of Kyiv. Two residential buildings suffered the most damage:

In the Pechersk district, rocket fragments pierced several floors of a 22-story building. The fire engulfed part of the building between the fourth and fifth floors. Rescuers pulled one person from under the rubble, and work continues to dismantle the structures.

On the left bank, in the Dnipro district, a nine-story building was damaged. The fire quickly spread to the upper floors. This is where the most casualties were recorded: one person died, five were injured, and seventeen residents, including children, were evacuated.

In addition, rocket fragments damaged a separate two-story building in another part of the city, and in the Darnytsia district, debris fell on the territory of private housing.

According to rescuers, a total of seven people were injured in Kyiv, and another 18 people were rescued. One person has been confirmed dead.

Fire and medical services worked throughout the night, dealing with the aftermath of the strikes and assisting residents of damaged homes.

Several areas of the capital experienced brief power and water outages. Utilities are gradually restoring the networks.

As a reminder, Russia massively attacked Odessa with Shahed kamikaze drones on the evening of November 24. A series of explosions were heard in the city, after which the power went out in various areas.

As reported, on the evening of November 23, Russia launched drone strikes on the Shevchenkivskyi and Saltivskyi districts of Kharkiv, causing widespread fires and destruction. According to preliminary data, 4 people were killed and at least 14 injured, including two children.
