Missiles, reconnaissance and strike drones: Air defense forces shot down over six thousand targets in July

During July 2025, the air defense of the Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed more than 6 thousand air targets.

This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In July, Ukrainian air defense destroyed:

• 65 Kh-101/Kh-55SM cruise missiles;
• 19 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles;
• 4 Caliber cruise missiles;
• 9 Kh-59/69 guided aircraft missiles;
• 20 Iskander-K cruise missiles
• 2990 Shahed type strike UAVs;
• 912 reconnaissance UAVs;
• 2243 UAVs of other types.

The Air Force noted that Ukrainian aviation carried out almost 800 sorties, including:

• about 550 for fighter air cover;
• more than 160 – for fire damage and air support of troops.

The Defense Forces’ aviation destroyed 1,012 air targets in July. Command posts, logistical facilities, and places where occupiers and enemy equipment were also hit.
