Residents of the temporarily occupied Zaporizhia region were left without stable mobile communication. In a number of settlements, it disappeared completely.
This is stated in a statement by the Center for National Resistance.
The worst situation is observed in Vasylivka, Orlyansky, Skelky, Pervomaysky, and Shevchenkove. In some villages, communication has been absent since August, in others – for about a year.
Formally, the operators “MirTelecom” and “+7 Telecom” operate in the region, created by the occupation authorities. They do not have proper regulation and do not provide high-quality communication. The infrastructure of these networks was built on the basis of equipment of Ukrainian operators, which the occupiers appropriated after the seizure of the territories.
The lack of communication significantly complicates people’s lives. Residents cannot contact relatives or call emergency services.
Cable internet remains an alternative, but it is unstable due to regular power outages. As a result, local communities have found themselves in conditions of virtual isolation.
