Mobile internet and air traffic suspended: Leningrad region under drone attack

On Sunday, July 27, drones attacked Russia, with the Leningrad Region in particular under attack.

This was reported by Russian Telegram channels.

It is noted that drones were spotted near the settlements of Gatchina and Vsevolozhsk, as well as near Kronstadt and in the Volosovsky district.

Local residents report that explosions have been heard in the region and suggest that some drones may have been shot down.

In addition, the governor of the Leningrad region informed that due to the threat of UAVs, St. Petersburg’s Pulkovo Airport temporarily suspended takeoffs and landings. As it became known, about 70 flights were delayed or completely canceled.

Residents of St. Petersburg also complained that after the declaration of danger in the city, mobile Internet service deteriorated.

Earlier, due to the threat of military attacks , the Russians canceled the main naval parade to celebrate Navy Day in St. Petersburg.

By the way, on July 5-6, Russia experienced a civil aviation collapse, with 287 flights canceled at airports and another 106 delayed . The damage to the Russian economy could reach 20 billion rubles.
