At the Headquarters meeting on December 5, a decision was made on a new approach to distributing mobilized personnel, which should ensure a stable supply of reinforcements for each combat brigade.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this. He said this step will allow military units to plan training and rotations more effectively. “The main thing is that each combat brigade must be guaranteed a monthly supply of personnel so that they can understand how to organize training within the brigade, conduct rotations, and plan their work,” Zelenskyy stated.

The mechanism approved by the General Staff will guarantee a certain number of personnel per month for combat units performing missions along the contact line. This will allow the command to more clearly understand its resources for operational planning.

Deputy Head of the Presidential Office, Colonel Pavel Palisa, added that recruits will be assigned before their basic training begins. He emphasized that 37 combat brigades already have the authority to independently train replacements, and these capabilities will be expanded. Units without their own training capabilities will undergo training at training centers, but under the supervision of instructors from the respective brigade.

As a reminder, members of parliament are proposing to significantly increase penalties for unauthorized abandonment of a military unit.
