Moldova has granted Ukraine a 50% discount on rail transit until the end of 2026.

Transit rail transportation of Ukrainian goods through Moldova will be carried out at a 50% discount until the end of 2026.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Serhiy Koretsky announced this.

According to him, a corresponding agreement was reached during a recent conversation with Moldovan Prime Minister Vasile Tofan. The new tariff will be in effect from August 10 until the end of 2026.

Koretsky called the decision additional support for Ukrainian exporters amid Russian attacks on shipping and port infrastructure in the Black Sea.

Ukraine and Moldova also agreed to change the Kyiv-Chisinau train route. The new route will begin operating on August 17.

This is expected to make transfers for Ukrainian passengers to Chisinau Airport faster and more convenient.

The Prime Minister thanked the Moldovan government for the agreements and noted the need to further develop cooperation between the two countries.
