Moldova has expressed its readiness to join the so-called “coalition of the determined” to support Ukraine.
This was reported by Newsmaker, citing a statement by President Maia Sandu after a meeting of the National Security Council.
According to her, the country has already made a corresponding statement, but the final decision depends on the other coalition members.
“Moldova has expressed its willingness to participate in this ‘coalition of the determined’. We are already providing support to Ukraine, in particular, conducting sapper training. This is what we can do and what we have proposed,” Sandu noted.
The President emphasized that participation in the coalition does not contradict the Constitution of Moldova.
She also added that Moldovan specialists could join the demining of territories after the end of the war in Ukraine.
Moldova’s request to participate in the coalition has yet to be considered by other participating countries.

As a reminder, Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that during the meeting of the “Coalition of the Willing” , all participants agreed that the borders of states should not be changed by force .
