Monaco supports sanctions against Russia and is ready to help Ukraine with reconstruction

Monaco supports all EU sanctions against Russia and its allies. The principality also helps Ukraine and is ready to participate in the country’s reconstruction after the war.

This was announced by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Monaco, Isabelle Berro Amadeu.

She stated that Monaco condemns Russian aggression against Ukraine and has supported the Ukrainians since the beginning of the full-scale war.

According to Berro Amadei, the principality supported resolutions on Ukraine in the UN and other international organizations, and also joined joint statements in support of the country.

Monaco also imposes all EU economic and financial sanctions against Russia and its allies.

In addition, the principality assists Ukraine through international organizations, supports the work of OSCE missions, and projects to preserve Ukrainian cultural heritage.

In particular, Monaco helps preserve the museum collections of Odessa with the participation of the international ALIPH foundation.

As a reminder, the European Union has extended sanctions against Russia for 7 days due to the violation of the territorial integrity of Ukraine . This will give EU countries additional time to agree on further actions regarding the restrictions.
