Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said in Brussels that Budapest will not unblock a decision in favor of Ukraine until the Druzhba oil pipeline resumes operation.

This was reported by “European Truth”.

Before the start of the European Council meeting, Orban stressed that Hungary’s position remains unchanged. Budapest is allegedly ready to support Ukraine, but only after the pipeline is restored.

However, by that time, there will be no decision that will be favorable for Ukraine.

“We are waiting for oil. Everything else is just a fairy tale. Therefore, we only believe in facts. Oil must reach Hungary… Until then, we cannot support any pro-Ukrainian proposal,” the politician noted.

Ukraine recently agreed to the European Union’s offer of financial and technical assistance to restore the Druzhba oil pipeline, damaged by a Russian attack.

Previously, some European countries and the European Commission asked Ukraine to provide access to the damaged section of the oil pipeline, but were allegedly refused.

It was recently reported that on March 18 , experts from European Union countries will inspect a section of the Druzhba oil pipeline damaged after a Russian attack.

However, the day before, a spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that Ukraine had no information about the visit of a European delegation to inspect the damaged section of the Druzhba oil pipeline.
