On the night of August 12, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck the Russian naval base in Novorossiysk, the last major outpost of the Russian fleet in the Black Sea, located more than 300 kilometers from the front line.
This was announced by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.
According to the president, the operation used “Palyanytsia” jet drones, “Neptune” missiles, and naval unmanned systems. The strikes resulted in hits on Russian air defense positions, berths, and seaport infrastructure.
“I thank the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine, and our intelligence for their accuracy and good results. The occupation fleet and the entire infrastructure that supports it will not be safe as long as Russian aggression continues. The war must be stopped, and all adequate proposals for diplomacy are on the table. Glory to Ukraine!” Zelensky emphasized.
It was previously reported that the Russian authorities announced a massive drone attack on the Krasnodar Territory.
