Most regions will be covered in snow and frost: Ukraine predicts a sharp change in weather

On Friday, December 26, the territory of Ukraine will be covered with snow, with precipitation levels reaching 4 centimeters in some regions.

Snow will arrive in Ukraine from the North at night, covering Chernihiv Oblast first. Later, precipitation will fall in other regions as well.

The heaviest snowfall will be in the central, eastern and southern parts of the country. 4 centimeters of snow is expected to fall near Orekhov in Zaporizhia, while most regions will see 1-2 cm of precipitation.

In the western regions, snow will fall closer to the evening, and most of Transcarpathia will remain without it.

Light frosts are also forecast for December 26. In the western, central, eastern, southern parts and in the Sumy region, the air temperature will fluctuate within -1°C…-6°C.

Instead, in the North and in Uzhhorod, +1°C…0°C are expected, and in the eastern regions of Crimea, the thermometer will rise to +4°C.

As a reminder, a sharp change in weather conditions is expected in Ukraine this week due to the influence of the Scandinavian anticyclone. Forecasters predict persistent frosts down to -14 degrees, snow, and road complications.
