American rapper Snoop Dogg has joined Team USA at the 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games. He has been named the first “honorary coach,” a role that aims to motivate athletes and support them off the field.

This is reported by the USOPC .

The USOPC explained that the “honorary coach” role is a volunteer one. It involves supporting Team USA athletes and creating a positive atmosphere during competition.

Snoop Dogg is known for his passion for sports, mentoring, and working with youth. His participation is expected to help motivate athletes on their way to the Winter Olympics and Paralympics.

“Team USA athletes are the real stars, and I’m just here to cheer, encourage, and maybe share a little wisdom from the sidelines. This team embodies everything that’s best about sports: talent, heart, and hard work. If I can add a little love and motivation to that, that’s a win for me,” said Snoop Dogg.

In addition to directly supporting the athletes, the rapper will help raise awareness for the Team USA Foundation, which funds the athletes and their programs.

He is also collaborating with Fanatics on a Coach Snoop × Team USA clothing collection, with a portion of the proceeds going to support Team USA.

Snoop Dogg, real name Calvin Broadus Jr., is a huge sports fan. In 2005, he founded the Snoop Youth Football League, which has supported over 15,000 young athletes, including youth with disabilities.
