Murder of Andriy Parubiy: Detainee Notified of Suspicion
A 52-year-old resident of Lviv, detained on suspicion of murdering MP Andriy Parubiy, has been officially declared a suspect.
The Office of the Prosecutor General reported this.
The document was signed by the head of the Lviv regional prosecutor’s office, Mykola Meret. According to him, the suspicion is based on objective evidence indicating the involvement of the detainee in the murder.
He is charged with two crimes:

intentional murder (Part 1 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code);

illegal handling of weapons (Part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
Currently, investigative actions are being carried out with the man, searches are being carried out at his places of residence and stay. A petition to the court for his detention without the right to bail is also being prepared.
The pre-trial investigation continues. Law enforcement officers are clarifying all the circumstances of the high-profile crime.
Let us recall that Andriy Parubiy was killed in Lviv on August 30. This was done by a man disguised as a courier. Andriy Parubiy was shot 8 times.
On Monday, September 1, in Lviv, at 19:00 in the Archcathedral of St. George , a farewell ceremony for Andriy Parubiy will take place.
