Murder of two teenagers in Vinnytsia region: the detainee turned out to be their teacher

A 23-year-old teacher has been detained in the Vinnytsia region; he is likely involved in the murder of two of his former students.

This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General.

The tragedy occurred on the morning of September 10 in Shargorod, Zhmerinsky district, Vinnytsia region. The attacker, having waited for the children going to school, suddenly inflicted stab and cut penetrating wounds on them in the neck area. The children died as a result of the injuries they received while receiving emergency medical care. The man fled the scene.

The victims have been identified. They are 10th and 11th grade students from a local lyceum.

The suspect who committed the brazen murder of the two teenagers has reportedly been arrested. He turned out to be a local resident born in 2002, their former teacher.

An investigative task force led by the head of the Vinnytsia Regional Prosecutor’s Office is working at the scene of the incident.

Urgent investigative actions are being carried out.

A notice of suspicion and a petition for the application of a preventive measure in the form of detention to the suspect is being prepared.
