NABU conducted searches at former Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov’s home — media

The day before, on July 3, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau conducted searches at the home of former Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov.

This was reported by the ZN.UA publication, citing sources in law enforcement agencies.

It is assumed that the searches at Reznikov’s house could have taken place within the framework of a case about the purchase of products for the army at inflated prices.

Also, according to the publication, during the searches, the former minister’s phone and some documents were seized.

Earlier, the head of the first main unit of NABU detectives, Oleksandr Abakumov, stated that Reznikov does not have the status of a suspect or witness in the case of possible abuses during the procurement of food for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

By the way, NABU and SAPO uncovered a large-scale scheme of embezzlement of public funds during the procurement of food products for the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the full-scale Russian invasion.

It is known that in February 2024, detectives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau, as part of an investigation into the Ministry of Defense’s procurement of products at inflated prices , uncovered a corruption scheme that allows for significantly inflating prices for certain categories of products.

Let us recall that in January 2023, journalist and founder of the “Our Money” project Yuriy Nikolov published an article in which he described in detail how the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine “squanders” money on food for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

After that, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine reported that the information published in the media regarding the scandal with the procurement of products for the army is being investigated as part of criminal proceedings .
