Timur Mindich, a participant in the NABU’s “Midas” operation to expose corruption at Energoatom, left Ukraine on the night of November 10, 2025. This happened a day before the searches.
This was announced by NABU Director Semen Kryvonos during a meeting of the TSC.
According to Kryvonos, NABU’s preparations for the searches began in advance; a week and a half before the search, resolutions to conduct investigative actions were received.
Specifying whether Mindich left the country before the search, Kryvonos said: “According to the results of the analysis of phone data seized during searches from some of the defendants in the criminal proceedings, it was established that the head of the criminal organization left on November 10 at approximately 2 am, but the vehicle – he used a private transfer – was ordered by his assistants on the morning of the 9th.”
That is, as the NABU director explained, “it was a planned departure, not a departure a few hours before the searches.”
Earlier, businessman Timur Mindic publicly commented for the first time on the NABU investigation into large-scale corruption and money laundering in the energy sector. He stated that he considers himself “designated guilty” due to media pressure and difficult circumstances.
Meanwhile, during a journalistic investigation in Israel , the Ukrainska Pravda film crew was attacked by security guards . Among the victims was the head of the publication’s investigations department, Mykhailo Tkach. The UP team traveled to Israel to establish the whereabouts of Timur Mindich, a figure in a high-profile anti-corruption case.
Earlier, this businessman, who is suspected of corruption in the energy sector and against whom sanctions have been imposed, stated that he has no intention of returning to Ukraine . He calls the investigation against him manipulative.
Meanwhile, NABU and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office, during an undercover operation , exposed an organized criminal group that included current members of parliament. According to the investigation, the group’s members systematically received illegal benefits in exchange for voting in the Verkhovna Rada.
