NABU searched driver Andriy Yermak’s house: phones and electronic media seized – media

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau searched the driver of former head of the President’s Office Andriy Yermak. During the investigation, law enforcement officers seized phones and other electronic media.

According to law enforcement sources, the searches were conducted as part of an investigation related to Andriy Yermak. The interlocutors noted that the investigative actions took place without public comments from the NABU.

Earlier, the leadership of NABU and SAPO warned President Volodymyr Zelensky about possible suspicions against Andriy Yermak and Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov. Despite this, they were appointed as heads of the Ukrainian negotiating delegation.

On the morning of November 28, investigators came to search the Office of the President. On the same day, sources reported that Andriy Yermak was being charged with suspicion related to his interest in one of the houses of the Dynasty cooperative. After that, Andriy Yermak was dismissed, which led to further personnel reshuffles.

As of now, the former head of the President’s Office has not been charged.

“Although NABU usually tries to announce suspicions on the day of searches, this rule is not mandatory,” the publication’s interlocutor said.

He gave the example that Oleksiy Chernyshov learned about the essence of the claims of anti-corruption bodies 4 months after the searches.

Sources emphasize that the investigation is in an active phase. NABU is aware of both the level of the person involved and the public demand for a result, but does not intend to act under the pressure of public opinion.

“There is only one reason for the delay – the need to collect evidence with which to go to court,” the interlocutor said.

It is also reported that on the day of the searches at Yermak’s house, the president met with the heads of the NABU and SAPO. The version of a possible agreement not to hand over the suspicion is confirmed by only one source, while other interlocutors do not share it.

According to sources, NABU understands that the version of the “exchange” of the suspects will exist until the moment of serving the suspicion. At the same time, the interlocutors emphasize that this version does not fit into the overall picture of the investigation.

As is known, on the morning of November 28, NABU detectives, together with SAPO prosecutors, conducted investigative actions in the government quarter , where Andriy Yermak’s office is located. Subsequently, the head of the President’s Office, Andriy Yermak, submitted a resignation letter.

Earlier, political scientist Volodymyr Tsybulko said that the recent release from pretrial detention of three former employees of the State Security Department, a NABU detective, and the easing of the regime for Colonel Chervinsky are related to the changes on Bankova Street. However, Andriy Yermak still retains influence over the power structures.
