The Director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau, Semen Kryvonos, stated that the former head of the President’s Office, Andriy Yermak, and the former Minister of Defense, Rustem Umerov, currently do not have the status of suspects in the so-called “Mindich case.”
This became known during the broadcast of the meeting of the Temporary Investigative Commission of the Verkhovna Rada on the investigation of possible violations of Ukrainian legislation in the field of defense, anti-corruption policy and human rights under martial law.
Kryvonos emphasized that no searches were conducted in the office of the then head of the Presidential Office, Andriy Yermak, in November 2025. At the same time, he refused to comment on whether any other investigative actions were taking place, citing the secrecy of the pre-trial investigation.
The NABU director also neither confirmed nor denied information about possible searches of Yermak’s driver, noting that such information is not subject to consideration by the TSC.
“The former head of the President’s Office was not declared suspicious,” Kryvonos emphasized.
NABU detective Oleksandr Abakumov, who was present at the commission meeting, reported that the pre-trial investigation is continuing within the procedural deadlines.
“We are taking all necessary investigative actions to reach a logical conclusion – about the presence or absence of a crime,” Abakumov noted.
Separately, Kryvonos clarified that Rustem Umerov also does not have the status of a suspect or accused in this case.
As previously reported, on the morning of November 28, NABU detectives, together with SAPO prosecutors, conducted investigative actions in the government quarter , where Andriy Yermak’s office is located. Subsequently, the head of the President’s Office, Andriy Yermak, submitted a resignation letter.
