NABU has stopped disclosing new information in the energy sector corruption case due to restrictions due to martial law.

This was reported by the NV publication, citing sources.

According to the interlocutor, the investigation into businessman and alleged participant in the corruption scheme Timur Mindich may become part of a larger criminal case.

“What businessman Timur Mindich was doing in Ukraine is not only related to energy. It is also about weapons. NABU got to his energy cases faster than those related to weapons,” the source explained.

As a reminder, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office are conducting a large-scale operation “Midas” to expose corruption in the energy sector . According to the investigation, the activities of a high-level criminal organization were established, which controlled financial flows and personnel decisions in state energy structures.

It is worth noting that the National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office reported suspicions against 7 individuals involved in a large-scale corruption scheme at JSC NNEGC Energoatom.

Previously, journalists from “Schemes” identified the names of individuals whom NABU detectives reported suspicious to as part of an investigation into corruption in the energy sector, including Timur Mindich.

It is known that Zelenskyy announced the introduction of sanctions against participants in the corruption scheme at Energoatom Timur Mindich and Oleksandr Zukerman.
