Naev resigns as commander of the Ugledar tactical group

Lieutenant General Sergei Nayev announced the end of his tenure as commander of the Ugledar tactical group.

He announced this on Facebook .

“Based on the order of the General Staff, I have completed my term as commander of the Ugledar tactical group. Together with the officers of the command body, we are leaving one of the hottest areas of Donbass. In the future, the execution of tasks in this area will be assigned to one of the newly created corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” Nayev said.

Nayev said that under his command, the Ugledar tactical group inflicted significant losses on the Russians: 19,608 invaders were killed and wounded (of which 9,692 were 200th and 9,916 were 300th), 74 tanks, 138 armored fighting vehicles, 16 cars and 36 automobiles were destroyed.

“Despite the enemy’s numerical superiority in manpower and equipment, we managed to improve the tactical situation five times, lure the enemy into the paste seven times and destroy his equipment. And most importantly, we did not allow a breakthrough to the Dnepropetrovsk region,” Nayev noted.
