National emergency: Dnipro mayor speaks about consequences of Russian attack

Dnipro Mayor Boris Filatov said that after the Russian shelling the day before, a national emergency situation had developed in the city.
He reported this on Telegram.
He emphasized that despite the fact that a similar situation developed in the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhia regions, the worst situation is in the Dnipro.
“Since last night, the city has been working out all the appropriate algorithms. We are in constant contact with the regional military administration and all relevant ministries and services,” the mayor noted.
According to him, the power is being restored to medical facilities. At the same time, Filatov reminded that hospitals have alternative power sources.
Among other things, he noted that the sewage system has been repaired, and the water situation on the right bank of the city is in the process of stabilizing.
The left bank of the Dnieper is being supplied with water using alternative sources, including for water pressure on the upper floors of buildings.
The day before, all the city’s boiler houses were without power, and work is currently underway to restore heat supply to consumers.
Separately, Filatov said that electric transport has been replaced by buses. Dnipro has fuel reserves for several days.
At the same time, equipped checkpoints are operating in the city, kindergartens are operating in 4-hour shifts, and schools have extended their vacation period.
As is known, Russia shelled the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhia regions . As a result of the prolonged and massive attack, emergency power outages were introduced.
We remind you that as of the morning of January 8 , about 800 thousand consumers remain without electricity in the Dnipropetrovsk region .
