National Police conducts over 500 searches as part of large-scale operation against illegal weapons

The National Police of Ukraine is conducting a large-scale special operation to combat the illegal trafficking of weapons and ammunition, within the framework of which more than 500 searches are underway.

This was reported by the press service of the National Police.

“These actions are aimed at increasing the level of security in society, preventing crimes related to the use of illegal weapons, as well as their illegal circulation,” the National Police said in a statement.

The massive operation is taking place in cooperation with the Prosecutor General’s Office and other law enforcement agencies.

The National Police will publish details of the special operation later, after all investigative actions are completed.

Earlier , in the Zhytomyr region, counterintelligence of the Security Service detained a Russian agent who was spying on aviation . He turned out to be a 41-year-old local unemployed man who was recruited by the Russian special services.
