NATO made an important statement regarding support for Ukraine

NATO’s Military Committee confirmed its readiness to strengthen support for Ukraine in confronting Russian aggression.

This is reported by an Ukrinform correspondent.

The Alliance’s position was stated by the head of the NATO Military Committee, Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone, during a press conference in Brussels following the meeting of the Chiefs of Staff of the Alliance member countries.

“Supporting Ukraine remains our priority, because its struggle concerns not only Ukraine itself, but also our collective security. Ukraine’s struggle is our struggle,” the admiral emphasized.

According to Dragone, all initiatives to support Ukraine in defending its territory are yielding concrete results, and the allies remain committed to this goal.

At the same time, he acknowledged that NATO “can and must do more.” The admiral assured that support for Ukraine will continue, while the Alliance is working in parallel to achieve peace in cooperation with the Coalition of the Willing.

Earlier, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said that in December, Russia suffered extremely high losses in the war against Ukraine – about a thousand soldiers died every day.

Recall that European countries are considering the possibility of creating a new security alliance without the participation of the United States, in which Ukraine could play one of the key roles.
