The NATO Military Committee will visit Ukraine in October. This will be the first such visit in the last eight years. This became known after the first conversation between the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Andriy Drapaty and the Chairman of the NATO Military Committee, Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone.

Drapatiy reported this on social networks.

During the conversation, he thanked the admiral for his personal position and consistent support for Ukraine at the level of the Alliance’s highest military leadership.

According to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Cavo Dragone has already visited Ukraine three times and personally seen the situation in the country. As Drapatiy noted, this is noticeable during communication.

Drapatiy told the admiral about the situation at the front and the main needs of the Ukrainian army. Among them are long-range strikes, more flexible infantry tactics, and the use of robots on the front line.

Separately, the interlocutors discussed air defense.

“Protecting the sky is my priority,” the official stressed.

He also said that Ukraine is expecting a visit from the NATO Military Committee in October. The last time representatives of the committee came to Ukraine was eight years ago.

In particular, Drapatiy emphasized that Ukraine not only receives assistance from the Alliance countries, but also shares its own experience gained during the war.

“We are transferring combat experience that no one has today, and it works for the security of the entire Alliance,” the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine added.
