Navy fighters hit Russian facilities on the Sivash drilling rig in the Black Sea

The Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, together with the Security Service of Ukraine and other components of the Defense Forces, struck Russian facilities on the self-elevating drilling rig “Syvash” in the Black Sea. The rig is located on the Golitsyn gas condensate field.

This was reported by the Navy press service .

According to the Ukrainian Navy, the Russian military used the equipment installed on the drilling rig to control strike UAVs, as well as to guide and adjust strikes on southern Ukrainian cities.

Using intelligence tools, the Russians also detected the movement of Ukrainian drones and unmanned boats.

Russian special forces units were also based on Syvash. In addition, weapons were placed there, including portable missile systems and other equipment used to counter Ukrainian drones and unmanned boats.

The Ukrainian Navy stated that they continue to push the Russian fleet out of the Black Sea.

By the way, the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck another 12 ships of the Russian shadow fleet in the Black and Azov Seas between August 1 and 8.

Recall that on the night of August 8 , the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck the Ilsky and Syzransky oil refineries in Russia , as well as a Russian technical observation post on the Syvash drilling rig in the Black Sea.
