Navy strikes Russian frigate Admiral Essen in Novorossiysk

On the night of September 9, the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, together with other units of the Defense Forces, struck military facilities of the Russian occupiers in Novorossiysk.
This was announced by the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
One of the targets was the Russian frigate Admiral Essen, a carrier of Kalibr cruise missiles. According to the Navy, the Ukrainian military hit the ship with a Neptune missile.
The department emphasized that the destruction of Russian military facilities directly reduces the ability of the occupiers to strike at Ukraine.
“Each such hit target means the lives of peaceful citizens of Ukraine are saved,” the Naval Forces noted.
The Navy also stated that, together with other components of the Defense Forces, they continue to systematically weaken the Russian fleet. According to the military, this is forcing the ships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet to move further and further away from the Ukrainian coast.
It was previously reported that drones attacked Yamal for the first time. In Novy Urengoy, almost 3,000 km from Ukraine, a fire broke out at an industrial facility after the attack. According to Ukrainian sources, a gas condensate preparation plant was hit.
In addition, on September 8 and the night of September 9, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a number of military facilities of the Russian occupiers. Among those hit were the speedboat “Mangust”, a launch site for attack drones, reconnaissance equipment, and ammunition depots.
