Near Dobropillia, Russians executed two captured National Guard soldiers.
In early September, near Dobropillia in the Donetsk region, Russian troops apparently shot two Ukrainian National Guard servicemen after capturing them.
The Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office reported this.
According to investigators, on September 2, two National Guard soldiers were on a combat mission and were in a firing position in a forest belt near Dobropillia. Russian soldiers captured him and, according to preliminary reports, shot him with automatic weapons.
Law enforcement officials opened a criminal case under Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine for committing a war crime resulting in death.
Urgent investigative actions are underway. Law enforcement officials are establishing the circumstances of the crime and the identities of the Russian military personnel who may have been involved in the shooting.
