An agreement between Ukraine and Latvia on cooperation in the field of unmanned systems provides for joint production. As part of this initiative, a company may appear near the Latvian border with Russia.

This was reported by the Delfi newspaper , citing comments by Latvian Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs.

In addition, it is planned to build such an enterprise near the border of Latvia with the Russian Federation.

He noted that the government is doing everything necessary to ensure that this facility can be located near the border.

The Prime Minister added that this region needs economic activity, new jobs, and investments.

In particular, Kulbergs said that in July-August, a new UAV countermeasure system should be put into operation along the country’s borders with Belarus and the Russian Federation, which will make it possible not to use aviation during every attack.
