Over the past 24 hours, 899 traffic accidents were reported in Ukraine, 153 of which involved injuries. In Kyiv, 124 accidents occurred, nine of which involved injuries.

This was reported by the First Deputy Chief of the Patrol Police Department, Alexey Beloshitsky.

According to him, by the morning of January 9, the 102/112 hotline had already received 43 reports of road accidents across Ukraine, three of which involved injuries. Four accidents were recorded in the capital, but no injuries were initially reported.

Due to adverse weather conditions, restrictions on heavy-duty vehicle traffic remain in place in several regions, particularly on roads in the Rivne, Zhytomyr, Lviv, Volyn, and Ivano-Frankivsk regions. In some areas of the Vinnytsia region, the restrictions have already been lifted.

Patrol officers and snow removal equipment are working on the roads. Police are urging drivers to avoid long trips if possible and to exercise extreme caution while driving.
