On Friday, June 27, Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin held a meeting with journalists, during which he stated that Russia is ready for a third round of talks with Ukraine. The heads of delegations are currently discussing the date.

He assured that the Russian Federation wants to end the war in Ukraine with “the desired result,” so Russian defense spending, which currently amounts to 13.5 trillion rubles, is aimed precisely at this.

According to him, the projects for resolving the war between the Ukrainian and Russian sides are radically opposite.

In addition, Putin emphasized that it is not Russia that is aggressive, but the “collective West.”

“The West, under the pretext of Russia’s perceived aggressiveness, intends to rearm – ‘let it rearm,’” Russian media quoted the dictator as saying.

At the same time, the Kremlin leader noted that relations between Russia and the United States have begun to improve. He noted that a meeting with US President Donald Trump is “quite possible, we will prepare for it.”
